This annual competition celebrates the artistic skills of kindergarten through 12th grade students and provides a platform for them to showcase their unique perspectives through the camera lens.

A total of $20,000 in cash prizes were awarded to this year’s winners! In each grade level, the 1st place winner received $1,000, the 2nd place winner took home $500, and the People’s Choice winner—selected through public voting—earned $100.

We’re incredibly proud of every student who participated, whether as a first-time competitor or a seasoned photographer. Even more exciting, we’re thrilled to announce that one of our very own students from North Carolina Virtual Academy earned a top spot in this year’s competition!

Join us in congratulating this exceptional young photographer:

Farzan
2nd Place, 1st Grade
I took my mommy’s photograph on her birthday trip. It was on the island of Java, Indonesia. The place is called National Park of Bromo Tengger Semeru.”

We couldn’t be prouder of Farzan for his incredible achievements in this year’s competition. His unique vision and dedication truly shined in his photography, and we can’t wait to see how he continues to evolve and flourish as an artist.

At North Carolina Virtual Academy, we’re committed to providing opportunities for our students to explore their talents and passions. The success of our participants in the K12 Photography Competition is a true testament to that. We can’t wait to see even more inspiring entries in future competitions!
